• Experience: Minimum 5 years in clinical laboratory science; extensive blood bank and regulatory compliance experience preferred

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise daily operations of the Blood Bank and Transfusion Services
• Ensure regulatory compliance with CLIA, TJC, CAP, AABB standards
• Coordinate personnel scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain blood bank medical equipment
• Develop and update policies, procedures, and quality control protocols
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate testing and results reporting
• Manage inventory, including reagents and supplies
• Support the implementation of new methodologies and technology, including EPIC Beaker, Soft Bank, Orthovison, and others
• Lead performance improvement initiatives and participate in proficiency testing
• Maintain detailed documentation and prepare reports as needed

What You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in medical technology, laboratory science, or related field
• Certification as MLS from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS required
• At least 5 years of experience as a clinical laboratory scientist, with a focus on blood bank and transfusion services
• Strong knowledge of blood bank compliance, regulatory standards, and laboratory management
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends, to support a 24/7 operation
