HVAC Installer
Godby Heating Plumbing Electrical
Indianapolis, IN
Full-Time | Monday-Friday
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour, depending on experience
Godby Heating Plumbing Electrical has proudly served the Indianapolis market for more than 50 years, delivering trusted HVAC, plumbing, and electrical solutions across commercial and industrial environments. As our commercial HVAC division continues to grow, we are hiring an HVAC Installer to lead installation projects and help deliver high-quality work across office buildings, retail facilities, and light industrial spaces.
This is a true commercial HVAC installation role, not residential service work. We are looking for someone who enjoys leading projects in the field, coordinating crews, solving problems, and ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
This position follows a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
At Godby HPE, we understand that changing employers can be a difficult decision, especially for experienced professionals who have invested years building their careers. Many talented individuals stay in situations that no longer fit because they worry about losing pay, benefits, PTO, or the professional reputation they've worked hard to earn. We believe a career move should be a step forward, not a step backward. If you're looking for better opportunities, stronger support, more growth potential, or improved work-life balance, we welcome the opportunity to discuss how your experience may translate into a rewarding future with Godby HPE.

About the Role
As the Commercial HVAC Lead Installer, you will take ownership of commercial installation projects from start to finish. You will lead field crews while installing and overseeing rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, VAV systems, ductwork, and related mechanical equipment. You will read and interpret blueprints and project specifications, coordinate with project managers and other trades, maintain project timelines, and ensure all work meets company standards, local code requirements, and safety expectations.
You will also serve as a field leader by maintaining organized job sites, communicating professionally with general contractors and customers, and helping develop less experienced installers.
What We're Looking For
