Ochsner Health - OMC is seeking a BC/BE PHYSICIAN in infectious disease management. This position is a combined hospital and clinic-based practice, including inpatient and ED consults. The ideal candidate will be trained in epidemiology and infection prevention and control. Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
The department includes a robust inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases practice, an ambulatory infusion unit, an ACGME accredited infectious diseases fellowship training program, and a clinical research program with full-time study coordinators. Ochsner Medical Center is one of our nations leading organ transplant centers and the inpatient infectious diseases consultative services support both solid organ transplant and hematopoietic stem-cell transplant programs. All services, including antimicrobial stewardship, are supported by two fulltime clinical infectious disease pharmacists.
Teaching opportunities include involvement with medical students of the Ochsner Clinical School of the University of Queensland, resident teaching for a large training program in Internal Medicine, as well as the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Training Program.
