Job Description:
Pro Resources is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembler for a local cabinet company located in Ft. Wayne, IN. This position requires proficiency in using hand and power tools to assemble high-quality cabinets for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in woodworking, attention to detail, and the ability to follow blueprints and instructions.
Shift: 1st shift 6am-4:30pm Monday- Thursday
Pay: $18.00-20.00hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble cabinets and related components using hand and power tools, ensuring all pieces are securely and accurately put together.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and written instructions to ensure proper assembly.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials as needed, adhering to precise specifications.
- Ensure all components are properly fitted and aligned, making adjustments as necessary.
- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and drawer slides.
- Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Safely operate hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, hammers, drills) and power tools (e.g., saws, routers, sanders).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Follow company safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production schedules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cabinet assembly, woodworking, or carpentry is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and precision.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus).
