Position Summary: Paragon Plastics is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our 1st shift team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC equipment used to machine plastic components according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machines to produce plastic components according to work instructions and specifications
Load and unload materials into CNC equipment safely and efficiently
Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards
Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Understand and meet company expectations for product quality, delivery, and customer service
Follow all applicable process sheets and work instructions
Use computer systems (IQMS and WMS) to track production and material requirements
Identify manufactured parts and interpret labels correctly
Maintain accurate production records and documentation
Assist with material movement and staging of jobs as needed
Report machine issues, quality concerns, or production delays to supervision
Additional Duties:
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and best practices
Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance
Rotate to other positions as assigned
Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor or Team Leader
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
Ability to work around moving machinery safely
Manual dexterity required for loading materials and handling finished products
