Description
Position Summary
The Utility Worker plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Reporting to the General Manager, this position is responsible for dishwashing, kitchen sanitation, receiving deliveries, stocking supplies, and assisting with food preparation. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping the kitchen running smoothly while providing outstanding support to the culinary team.
Location: Fort Wayne, IN Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time Available Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM with rotating weekends Pay: Starting at $15.00 per hour
Essential Responsibilities
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment by hand or using commercial dishwashing equipment.
Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Receive deliveries from vendors and properly organize and stock inventory.
Store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated areas.
Remove trash and recycling, placing waste in designated collection areas.
Clean and rotate inventory in the walk-in cooler.
Assist with basic food preparation as needed.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chef Manager.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Strong organizational skills and attention to cleanliness.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a kitchen environment.
