Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented General Assembler to support production operations in Gastonia, NC. The General Assembler is responsible for assembling components, subassemblies, and finished products according to specifications, technical drawings, work instructions, and established quality standards.
This position plays an important role in maintaining production efficiency, product quality, workplace safety, and an organized manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly Operations
Assemble parts, components, and finished products using hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
Operate basic assembly tools, including drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, and similar equipment.
Follow assembly instructions, technical drawings, standard operating procedures, and production specifications.
Identify basic screw sizes, hardware, and components needed for each assembly.
Inspect parts and materials for damage, defects, or inconsistencies before and during assembly.
Report quality concerns, damaged materials, and production issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain an organized workstation to support efficient production flow.
Meet daily production and quality expectations.
Quality and Compliance
Ensure completed products meet established quality standards and specifications.
Perform basic visual inspections of assembled products.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and work instructions.
Accurately complete required production or quality documentation.
Participate in continuous improvement activities designed to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
Material Handling
Retrieve materials, hardware, and components from designated storage or production areas.
Organize parts and subassemblies to maintain an efficient workflow.
Safely move materials throughout the assigned work area.
Assist with inventory counts when requested.
Report material shortages, damaged components, or inventory discrepancies.
Safety and Work Environment
Follow all workplace safety, environmental, and sustainability procedures.
Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
Properly operate and maintain tools and equipment.
Immediately report accidents, injuries, equipment problems, or unsafe conditions.
Support continuous improvement in workplace health, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least one year of assembly, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
Previous experience using drills, screwdrivers, hand tools, and power tools.
Basic knowledge of screw sizes, hardware identification, and assembly components.
Ability to read and follow basic technical drawings, assembly instructions, and work orders.
Ability to perform basic quality inspections.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work is performed in a manufacturing and production environment.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to frequently bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.
Must be able to safely lift and carry materials or components weighing approximately 30 to 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable working around machinery, tools, noise, and varying temperatures.
Must be able to safely perform repetitive assembly duties throughout the shift.
Required personal protective equipment must be worn at all times.
