1st Grade Teacher- Long-Term Substitute

Kennedy Elementary School in the Grafton School District is seeking a long-term substitute teacher for a 1st-grade classroom. This position will cover an upcoming temporary medical leave, beginning on Monday, October 19, 2026, and running through Friday, December 11, 2026.

The long-term substitute will be responsible for full-day classroom instruction using the district''s established curriculum, including Bridges in Mathematics and Amplify ELA. Duties include facilitating daily lessons across core subjects, managing classroom routines, assessing student progress, and collaborating with the 1st-grade teaching team to ensure instructional continuity.

The daily work schedule runs from 7:45am to 3:45pm. Teachers receive a 50-minute lunch break and 45 minutes of dedicated prep time each day. Interested applicants holding a valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license or long-term substitute permit are encouraged to apply. The rate of pay for long-term substitute teachers in the Grafton School District for the current school year is $190 per day.
