A first-grade teacher plans and delivers standards-aligned instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies; creates a safe and engaging classroom environment; assesses and monitors student progress; differentiates instruction to meet individual needs; communicates regularly with families; and collaborates with colleagues to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students in accordance with Indiana academic standards and school policies.
