1st Grade Teacher

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated 1st Grade Teacher to join our elementary team. The ideal candidate will create a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with state standards Teach foundational literacy and math skills using research-based strategies Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction Communicate regularly with families about student growth and classroom activities Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and support staff Participate in professional development and school initiatives
