Job Title: Industrial Wet Painter
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire (520 hours)
Pay Rate: $22.50–$25.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Not available at this time
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Wet Painter to join our team. This role involves preparing and painting truck beds and other components using industrial spray equipment. Candidates should have hands-on experience with paint mixing and surface preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sandblast and prepare truck beds and other surfaces for painting
- Apply coatings, primers, sealers, and paint using spray equipment
- Mix paints with activators according to specifications
- Ensure quality finishes and adherence to safety standards
Requirements:
- Previous industrial wet painting experience preferred
- Knowledge of paint mixing and spray application techniques
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to pass a 5-panel drug screen
- Background check required (IDOC/Sex Offender registry); felonies considered on a case-by-case basis
Work Environment & PPE:
- Steel-toe boots, jeans, and t-shirt required
- Employer provides hearing and eye protection
- Mask required in paint areas
