We’re seeking a dedicated 1st On-Site Linen Coordinator to ensure the seamless rotation and management of linen inventory at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. This full-time role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vital service while advancing your career in healthcare support.

Position Details:

  • Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Location: Aspirus Wausau Hospital
  • Wage: Starting at $16.50/hour, with potential for increased compensation
  • Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage linen totes by stockpiling and rotating garments using FIFO practices to prevent expiry.
  • Stock and replenish garment racks with appropriate, age-verified items, ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor slow-moving inventory, suggest adjustments, and update the status of stock weekly to designated contacts.
  • Maintain proper garment sequencing in the racking system, ensuring it’s accurate daily.
  • Collect and remove soiled linens, ensuring they are ready for pickup without direct contact.
  • Communicate promptly with hospital staff regarding issues such as garment damages, losses, or shortages.
  • Assist with linen returns and reprocessing by compiling detailed lists and securing approvals prior to shipment.
  • Support co-workers and fill in as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum age of 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic (intermediate) computer proficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 100 lbs
  • Physically capable of standing and walking throughout shifts
  • Prior customer service experience is a plus
