Job Description


Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will unload incoming shipments, verify inventory, inspect products for accuracy and damage, and prepare merchandise for storage. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and safety.

Hours: 7am-3:30pm 
Pay:$17.50

Essential Responsibilities
  • Unload incoming cartons and receive book shipments.
  • Verify shipment quantities against bills of lading.
  • Inspect cartons and pallets for damage and document any discrepancies, shortages, overages, or damaged merchandise.
  • Separate cartons by title according to receiving instructions.
  • Place cartons on conveyor lines for processing.
  • Count and inspect books to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Complete breakdown tickets and required receiving documentation.
  • Unload cartons from conveyor lines and sort them onto pallets by warehouse zone.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months of continuous work experience.
  • At least 6 months of experience performing physically active work involving standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, reaching, gripping, or similar tasks.
  • High school-level reading, writing, and basic math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing workflow demands.
  • Ability to meet productivity and quality standards.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk continuously throughout the assigned shift.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Push or pull up to 65 pounds of force (up to 35 pounds frequently and 36–65 pounds occasionally).
  • Continuously grip and grasp objects throughout the workday.
  • Frequently bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb, crawl, and reach overhead.
  • Work scheduled shifts, including overtime before or after regular hours and weekends as needed.
  • Work in varying warehouse temperatures.
