Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm. update as needed
 
Position Summary: Assemble different components or parts of semi-finished or finished goods, in order to prepare a product to be ready to begin the shipping process, and ultimately complete client orders.

Essential Functions:
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
  • Keep the area clean and organized
  • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
  • Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-3 years of assembly experience
  • Solid background working with sheet metal
  • Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance
  • Must show an aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computer skills
  • Good color discernment and color vision 
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way
  • Configure bend allowance for sheet material (Not a requirement, but a plus)
  • Ability to read blueprints and a knowledge of engineered specified tolerances
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to read and follow instructions
  • Must maintain excellent attendance, and expect to work overtime if needed

Environmental Conditions:
  • Humidity level may be elevated during the summer months
  • Exposure to loud noise, at times
  • Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
  • Able to stand on your feet for at least ten hours a day
