Company description

A local machine shop in Anderson is looking for a full time CNC operator.

Responsibilities:
  • Translating design specifications precise instructions for CNC machines.
  • analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to calculate dimensions, tool selection, and machine speeds.
  • Creating programs that control the machining of parts. They use CAM software to create 3D models of tools and parts.
  • Selecting cutting tools for the specific machining operation and material.
  • Setting up machines to produce the component outlined in the program.
  • Verifying programs to eliminate errors and retest programs to check that problems have been solved.
  • Ensuring safety follows all company safety protocol.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems.
Pay:
  • $21 per hour
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7am to 5:30pm
