Eyewear Coating Technician

We are looking for an Eyewear Coating Technician to join our team in Irvine, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for coating lenses and other optical components, inspecting finished products, maintaining coating equipment, and keeping accurate production records.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Location: Irvine, CA

What You’ll Do

• Perform dip coating and AR (anti-reflective) coating on lenses and optical components.

• Dismantle and clean AR chambers as required to keep equipment in good working condition.

• Perform general maintenance on coating chambers.

• Assist with measuring coating for solid contents.

• Unload parts from various chambers and place them in QC for inspection.

• Inspect lenses and components for quality.

• Enter and maintain production information in company software.

• Maintain and organize documentation to ensure records are accurate and up to date.

• Keep work areas clean and organized at all times.

• Follow safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of pressure.

• Basic knowledge of Google Suite.

• Proficient in basic algebra.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous machine operation experience.

• Vacuum deposition experience.

• Media blasting experience is a plus.

• Previous experience in optical, manufacturing, or coating environments is a plus.
