Description
1st Shift Extrusion/Manufacturing Inspection Technician
We are currently seeking candidates with strong quality control/inspection experience in plastics manufacturing for an Inspection Technician position at a rapidly growing company making news in Valley View.
This is a versatile, cross-functional role created to primarily support a world-class Engineering and Nanolayer Film team, while also providing support to Extrusion operations. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training across both departments, developing skills and flexibility to contribute wherever needed.
1st Shift:
6:00am 2:30pm, Monday - Friday
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00/hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
Exact preparation of test samples according to established procedures using a variety of implements such as precision cutters, laser cutters, sputter coaters, etc.
Execution of line in-process inspections and laboratory tests.
Understand and use precision inspection instruments including micrometers, drop-gauges, electrical Hipot testers, tensile testers and other typical film property test equipment.
Record entry and light analysis of inspection and test data
Defect reporting to shift supervision and compilation of inspection results for companywide reporting
Adherence to safety protocols during the execution of electrical property testing, heated oil testing, and material handling.
Approximately 20% of time may be spent supporting extrusion operations in a manufacturing technician capacity.
Adherence to all safety protocols and PPE requirements during manufacturing support operations.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma, Associates, or other post-secondary education preferred
3+ years of experience in a plastics manufacturing or quality control environment
Experience in a materials testing laboratory or quality assurance environment required
Plastics processing equipment experience, such as extrusion, cast or blown film, calendaring, injection molding, etc.
