Strong 1st Shift Extrusion Technician Needed in Valley View, OH

We are seeking experienced extrusion professionals for a 1st shift extrusion technician role at a growing manufacturing company in Valley View, Ohio. If you have solid experience in extrusion processes, machine setup, tooling, and quality control, we want to hear from you!

Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday through Friday

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Support film extrusion operations including equipment setup and operation, tooling, and changeovers
• Monitor and adjust computerized systems for batch recipes, film thickness, and quality
• Recognize and document product defects or deviations, escalating issues promptly
• Recommend and implement solutions to resolve equipment or process issues
• Maintain organized workspaces for efficient cleaning, inspection, and daily operations
• Handle materials for raw, finished, and work-in-progress items
• Follow safety, quality, and procedural guidelines accurately
• Adapt to evolving team responsibilities and schedules
• Develop mechanical understanding of the extrusion process for career progression

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED or 4+ years manufacturing experience
• At least 1 year of plastics processing experience
• Experience with extrusion, cast or blown film, calendaring, or injection molding
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Ability to perform basic math, measurements, and metrology
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Must be very reliable and eager to learn new skills
• Experience operating tow motors or material handling equipment
• Previous off-shift work experience

Nice to Have Skills:

• Electrical and mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of computerized operator settings and adjustments

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Manufacturing related experience or technical training in plastics processing

• Ability to work on-site in a clean, well-lit environment
• Must be well-spoken, mature, and professional
• Demonstrated desire to grow into future extrusion expert roles
