Job Title: 1st Shift Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 1st Shift Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform general maintenance and repair tasks across a six-building office complex, ensuring that all building systems function safely and efficiently. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to maintaining the appearance and functionality of our properties.


Responsibilities


+ Perform general maintenance and repair of commercial building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, doors, ceiling tiles, and other facility components.

+ Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

+ Support fire and life safety programs by assisting with inspections, testing, and maintaining compliance with established safety standards and procedures.

+ Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders while providing professional customer service to tenants, vendors, and visitors.

+ Complete minor electrical, mechanical, and carpentry repairs as needed.

+ Maintain exterior grounds by removing litter, monitoring common areas, assisting with flower bed upkeep, and ensuring the properties remain clean and presentable.

+ Coordinate with contractors, property management, and facility teams to support ongoing projects, building improvements, and tenant needs.

+ Accurately document completed work, maintenance activities, and equipment issues while following all company safety policies and procedures.


Essential Skills


+ Mechanically inclined with experience in facilities/commercial repairs such as lighting, plumbing, and HVAC.

+ Strong customer service and people skills.

+ Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, commercial lighting, and maintenance technician tasks.

+ Painting, fire safety, preventive maintenance, building maintenance, and repair skills.

+ Troubleshooting and cleaning abilities.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Previous facilities maintenance, building maintenance, HVAC, mechanical, or commercial property maintenance experience preferred.

+ Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

+ Excellent customer service and communication skills.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
