Sigma Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused General Labor / Forklift Operator for a manufacturing facility in Inver Grove Heights, MN. Position Details

• Job Title: General Labor / Forklift Operator
• Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN
• Duration: 13 weeks Contract
• Shift:1st Shift (Monday–Friday)
• Hours: 6am- 02:30pm
• Required: Steel-Toed Shoes
• Pre-Employment Requirements: Background Check and Drug Test

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
• Perform general labor duties in a manufacturing environment.
• Load, unload, move, and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Support production activities and equipment operation as assigned.
• Perform housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Repeatedly lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Adhere to all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Assist with additional production and warehouse tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous forklift or powered industrial truck experience required.
• Ability to pass Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training and certification requirements.
• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and work on feet for extended periods.
• Basic math and counting skills.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing experience.
• Warehouse operations experience.
• Material handling and inventory support.
• Production line or industrial labor experience.

Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing facility.
• Dusty and physically demanding environment.
