As a Lab Inspector, you will be trained and responsible for the final inspection of the product produced by the production team in the Made to Order and Made to Stock Value Streams. A Lab Inspector may also perform re-work processes.
Job functions are as follows:
Inspect finished product for conformance to specifications such as: visual finish, size and tolerance
Will analyze any defective product to determine cause for defect
Must rework defective products by performing various machining tasks including:
Roll Lapping
Facing
Chamfering
Cut-Off
Must access information using internal computer software programs
Will be responsible for calibrations on various gages
Will be responsible for the set up and operation of precision measuring equipment
Will be required to record inspection data in written form and/or by entering data into the computer system
