Shipping Material Handler – Pro Resources Staffing Services (Garrett, IN)
Pro Resources Staffing Services is partnered with a well-established company located in Garrett, IN, and we are currently seeking a Shipping Material Handler to join their warehouse team. This is a temporary position expected to last around 3 months, with the possibility of being directly hired at the end of the assignment.
Shift and Compensation
- Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Pay: $18.00/hour
Job Duties
- Prepare, package, and stage outgoing shipments according to customer requirements and shipping schedules
- Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts and other warehouse equipment
- Verify contents of shipments, ensure accurate labeling, and inspect materials for damage
- Maintain accurate records of shipping transactions, pallets, counts, and finished goods
- Follow all company procedures and safety guidelines during the shipping process
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to resolve any discrepancies or quality concerns
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 25–35 pounds continuously, and less than 25 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand for 10-hour shifts, and physically perform tasks including bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting
Background Profile
- Forklift experience is required
- Previous shipping or warehouse experience is required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
