Central Plains Steel, a division of Feralloy, is seeking a dependable Production/Material Handler to support daily plant operations, including processing materials, quality checks, and maintaining an organized workspace.
Physical Requirements: Stand or Sit(Stationary position), Walk(Move, Traverse), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Pushing or Pulling, Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess) Function in the Job: Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job Function:
- Pull materials and remove laser-cut parts from sheets
- Inspect parts for quality and address minor issues
- Package and prepare orders based on work instructions
- Move materials using forklifts or cranes
- Maintain proper material tagging and documentation
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
Required Skills:
- Valid driver’s license
- 0–5 years of related experience
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in varying temperatures
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Preferred:
- Warehouse, production, or material handling experience
- High School Diploma or GED
