1st Shift Passivation Operator

Job Description

Passivation Operators will report directly to the Shared Operations Manager. This position will have primary responsibility for passivating materials after the manufacturing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate acid baths and rinse tanks per the instructions provided
• Verify and prepare parts according to the setup sheet
• Run parts through the appropriate acid baths and rinse tanks per the setup sheet
• Use air gun to remove liquid from parts after the passivation process is complete
• Visually inspect parts to determine conformance to specifications
• Create setup sheets for new jobs
• Accurately document processes as required
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Always maintain a high level of safety practices
• Train others on the operation as requested

Environmental & Physical Demands

• Exposure to nitric and citric acid
• Manufacturing environment. May require sitting or standing for long periods of time
• Occasional exposure to loud noise
• May require lifting up to 10lbs
