Kent Quality Foods, a family-owned business and an established leader in the food processing industry is now hiring for a 1st Shift Production Operator position at our Leonard Location! If you are looking for an organization that appreciates you and what you do - look no further.As a peeler operator, you will help keep production running safely and accurately by verifying product, operating the peeling process, inspecting finished product, and escalating quality concerns. This hands-on role is a strong fit for someone who follows procedures carefully, works well with others, and takes pride in food quality and safety. Job Responsibilities:Verify cart labels, product numbers, and descriptions against the daily production schedule. Confirm all labels on each cart match the schedule and one another, and route labels for operator verification.Complete required first-piece inspection signoffs and confirm hinge-cut setup for certain products.Visually inspect product for color consistency, correct size, grease, wrinkles, and other quality concerns.Inspect peeled product for peeler cuts, drive-roller cuts, remaining casing, and other defects.Stop production and notify the line operator, QA, supervisor or manager when product or labeling does not match requirements.Remove and dispose of cart labels as directed to support accurate production control.Qualifications:Ability to work in cold work environmentMachine setup experience will be helpfulStanding for 8-12 hours a dayAccuracy and attention to detail verifying setups and work performedGood team working skills and the ability to work alonePossess a good understanding of health, safety, and basic hygiene rulesRepetitive heavy lifting of 50-55 pounds Join a growing company that offers:Starting Wage, $18.25 + $1.00 attendance bonus every 4 weeksOvertime opportunitiesFull benefits (Medical, dental, vision)401k) Plan with Company matchOutstanding team environment Apply online or in person at our Leonard location, 703 Leonard St NW Grand Rapids, MI 49504.
