Job Description

Machine Pouch Helper
$20.00/Hour | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM–2:30 PM

Job Summary
We are currently hiring a Machine Pouch Helper to join a busy flexible packaging manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, energetic, and highly coachable.
The Machine Pouch Helper will assist with operating and setting up press machinery used to manufacture flexible packaging for consumer goods, primarily products used in the food industry. The ideal candidate does not necessarily need extensive manufacturing experience—we are more interested in finding someone with a strong work ethic, good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
This position can have periods of downtime, so we're looking for someone who stays productive, takes initiative, and doesn't need to be constantly supervised.

Schedule & Pay
  • Monday–Friday
  • 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
  • $20.00/hour
  • Full-time opportunity
What You'll Do
  • Assist with setting up and operating press and pouch-making equipment.
  • Learn machine operation procedures and production requirements.
  • Monitor machines during production to ensure they are operating properly.
  • Pay close attention to the machine and finished product to identify mistakes, defects, or quality issues.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting, including changing ink and clearing basic jams.
  • Assist the lead operator with machine adjustments and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Report major equipment issues to the lead or maintenance personnel.
  • Follow production specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform basic computer functions related to machine operation and production.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Stay productive during downtime by assisting coworkers and helping wherever needed.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Perform other general production duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
  • Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of how machines and equipment work.
  • Highly coachable and eager to learn.
  • Energetic, motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • A "busy body" who naturally looks for ways to stay productive.
  • Able to retain information and apply training to daily responsibilities.
  • Comfortable working independently without constant supervision.
  • Detail-oriented and able to maintain focus during repetitive machine operation.
  • Comfortable performing basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance.
  • Proficient with basic computer functions.
  • Reliable, dependable, and committed to maintaining good attendance.
  • A strong team player who is willing to jump in and help wherever needed.
Extensive experience is not required. We would much rather find someone who is eager to learn, takes direction well, and has the right attitude than someone with years of experience who isn't interested in being coached.
Food-Grade Manufacturing Environment
The company manufactures flexible packaging used for consumer products, primarily within the food production industry. The facility is AIB/GMP certified, meaning employees must follow strict cleanliness, hygiene, and food-safety-related production standards.
Production employees are required to follow guidelines such as:
  • Wearing hairnets and other required PPE
  • No rings or jewelry on the production floor
  • Following strict cleanliness and sanitation procedures
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workstation
  • Following all GMP and AIB requirements
Why This Opportunity?
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn a skilled machine operation role and build a long-term career in manufacturing. The company is willing to train the right person and values attitude, coachability, reliability, and the desire to learn.
If you're mechanically inclined, energetic, dependable, and ready to learn a new skill, we want to hear from you!
