1ST SHIFT PRODUCTION KILL FLOOR TRAINER

1ST SHIFT-PRODUCTION TRAINER/KILL FLOOR 

HOURS: 

• 1st Shift – flexible as needed or required 

DUTIES 

• Training and motivation of all new employees 
• Conducting of Work Hardening programs 
• Conducting “off-line” knife sharpening classes on both straight and wizard knives 
• Completing various reports in a timely manner 
• May assists Occupational Health and the hospital for translation 
• Teach annual retraining classes 
• Other duties as assigned  
• Hours worked as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Knowledge and technical skills in a variety of KILL FLOOR jobs highly preferred 
• Good Safety record required 
• Good attendance record required 
• Superior knife sharpening skills (all types)-must achieve/maintain knives at or above 8.1 on the Anago knife sharpness tester 
• Great communication skills – written and oral 
• Valid driver license needed 
• Patient attitude with inexperienced employees 
• Excellent people skills 
• Ability to follow instructions 
• Ability to plan time efficiently 
• Ability to conduct training classes as assigned 
• Bilingual preferred but not required 
• Resume required

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Base hourly salary range of $22.35-27.75
