    Description

    The Range Operator, hereafter referred to as "operator", is responsible for the overall performance of the finishing range. He/she is responsible for seeing that all quality, process and cost standards are met, procedures are followed and all records and information are maintained correctly. He/she will observe the fabric being processed, checking for defects or finishing problems, alerting management or QA with decision making on the roll. He/she will work with the QA technician and Management to ensure quality and efficiency. He/she will also input style and finish information into the machine computer while checking to see that all settings are correct. The Operator is responsible for providing feedback on the quality of fabric being produced. He/she will complete all paperwork and record keeping for the machine, keying data into the EVS unit and printing maps (EVS & BFD) to go with the paperwork. The Operator will assist with EVS and broken filament detector inputting information and printing maps. The Operator will splice and set up the machine for quality and efficiency. He/she will perform needed distortion measurements and wrapping of rolls per customer specifications. He/she will cut samples, complete splice check samples, and tag the fabric for Lab testing. He/she will clean at finishing changes. Maintain all records according to ISO standards.
