The Reliability Superintendent is a key management position responsible for driving the optimization of all operational processes that exist in the facility. This person’s focus will be on improving efficiency, training, quality, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction within all aspects of the operation. The Superintendent would be a 1st shift position, but this leader must be willing to help drive initiatives over all three shifts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
· Drive the streamlining of processes and improve business performance.
· Identify process improvement opportunities, develop solutions and implantation plans with the management team.
· Focus on statistical tools and analysis techniques to improve processes within an organization.
· Improving the engagement and effectiveness of the training program.
· Responsible for developing plant performance data for the purpose of prioritizing and implementing the plant improvement efforts.
· Organize and lead RCA & Kaizen problem solving events.
· Continuous promotion of plant safety, proving leadership to ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures, programs and practices.
· Collaborate with shift superintendents and managers to ensure clear direction and accountability for implanting process improvement plans in the facility.
· Foster participation of the workforce to enhance awareness and cooperation. Provide leadership for personal and professional growth to Production Supervisors, Process Leaders and line-associates. Provide measured balance of data/people management skills. Maintain communication in an approachable, hands-on, supportive role.
· Train employees on Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools.
· Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
· Lead root cause investigations using methodologies such as:
· 5 Whys
· Fishbone Diagram (Ishikawa)
· DMAIC
· Implement corrective and preventive actions
· Develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
· Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Manage cost reduction and productivity improvement projects
WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

FORMAL EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in business management, food science, industrial engineering or chemical engineering. (Or at least 8 years at a senior level management position in a food manufacturing facility).
