Job Description

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping, Receiving & Quality Control Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and performing quality control inspections. The ideal candidate has previous shipping, receiving, and quality control experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Job Type: Full-Time 

Job Duties
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy, and inspect products for quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and organization of received goods.
  • Perform thorough quality control inspections on outgoing products to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
  • Prepare and package items for shipment using appropriate packaging materials and methods to prevent damage during transit.
  • Accurately record and maintain inventory information, including quantities, locations, and product details, using electronic or manual systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies or issues related to shipments, inventory, or quality concerns.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and schedule pickups and deliveries to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
  • Assist with customer inquiries or concerns regarding shipments, product quality, and delivery schedules.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving and quality control.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software used for inventory management and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to regularly lift 50–75 lbs.
  • Must have and wear steel-toed shoes or boots.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and following company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively with a team.
