Location: Gastonia, NC 28056
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable 1st Shift Spot Welder to join a manufacturing production team. This position is responsible for performing spot welding operations on metal components while following production specifications, quality standards, and established safety procedures.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing, welding, or metal fabrication experience, is comfortable working with production equipment, and can maintain quality and productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform spot welding on metal parts and components according to production requirements.
• Position and align metal components before welding.
• Load and remove parts from welding equipment.
• Inspect completed welds and finished parts for quality and consistency.
• Follow work instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures.
• Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or quality concerns.
• Use basic hand tools and measuring tools as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Meet established production and quality expectations.
• Assist with other manufacturing and production duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, welding, metal fabrication, or related production experience preferred.
• Previous spot welding or welding equipment experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production environment.
• Regular exposure to machinery, metal components, noise, and normal manufacturing conditions.
• Required personal protective equipment must be worn while performing applicable job duties.
• Position may require prolonged standing, bending, reaching, and handling materials throughout the shift.
