Summary
Direct truck traffic and assist with the safe movement of vehicles throughout the worksite.
Monitor unloading activities and ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
Work closely with equipment operators, drivers, and supervisors to maintain safe operations.
Identify and report safety concerns, hazards, and operational issues.
Ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and prioritizes safety.
Responsibilities
Direct incoming and outgoing truck traffic throughout the facility.
Safely guide drivers to designated unloading and dumping locations.
Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operating in active work areas.
Monitor site activities and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Communicate with drivers, equipment operators, and supervisors regarding traffic flow and site conditions.
Identify and report safety hazards, unauthorized materials, or operational concerns.
Maintain safe and clear access routes throughout the site.
Assist with general site cleanup and other duties as assigned.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience in construction, recycling, landfill, warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred.
Experience working around heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, or active job sites is a plus.
Knowledge of traffic control and workplace safety procedures is beneficial.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
OSHA certification is a plus but not required.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to safety and situational awareness.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work around trucks, heavy equipment, dust, and noise.
Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Dependable, hardworking, and able to work independently.
