1ST SHIFT TOOLING ASSEMBLY SUPERVISOR NEEDED - JONESVILLE, MICHIGAN
A Leading Automotive Supplier near Jonesville, Michigan needs a 1st Shift Tooling Assembly Supervisor. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise Toolmakers and Apprentices
Plan and schedule all tool room jobs as per timeline.
Control all heat treated components from outside suppliers.
Schedule ordering of tooling components and supplies
Assist Tool Room Manager in product scheduling.
Assist Lead hands in troubleshooting die build problems.
Plan tool room equipment maintenance.
Assist in quoting, design, troubleshooting and development as required.
Staff and evaluate tool room employees.
Resolve issues with other managers such as press time, sign off, shared equipment etc.
Maintain CAD files and system as per company's standards.
Liaise with Production, Engineering and New Build Departments.
Create CNC surface files, when required.
Perform duties of Tool Room Manager in his absence.
Record daily job numbers and hours on punch card.
Other duties as required or directed in order to accommodate the customer.
Operate all Tool Room Equipment.
Statistical Process Control (SPC) Skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- CAD / CAM Knowledge
- Progressive Die Knowledge is a Must
- Automotive Metal Stamping Expertise is Needed
- Must have previous Tool & Die Maker Experience
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) skills
- Previous Tool Room Supervision Experience is Required
A Journeyman's Card or Tool & Die Certificate is Preferred
- Knowledge of computers and software including Excel, and Word.
Good understanding of International Standards Organization (ISO) and Quality Standards (QS) system.
