Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Hagerstown, MD
Schedule: Thursday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, with alternating Wednesdays
Salary: $70,000 per year (based on experience)
Status: Full-time, Exempt (Salaried)

Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of a warehouse and logistics team. This role oversees staff performance, ensures efficient workflow, maintains safety standards, and helps improve warehouse processes. The supervisor works closely with management and customers to meet operational goals and deliver excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse and logistics operations.
• Schedule and assign work to ensure efficient shift coverage and productivity.
• Monitor team performance and ensure operational goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
• Collaborate with management to improve warehouse processes, equipment, and workflow.
• Work directly with customers to support daily operations and resolve issues.
• Coach, train, and develop employees to improve performance and encourage career growth.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and recommend recognition or merit increases when appropriate.
• Address attendance, performance, and disciplinary issues in a professional manner.
• Promote teamwork, inclusion, and a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety, security, and company policies.
• Provide new employee orientation and ensure staff have the tools and training needed to succeed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or transportation environment preferred.
• Up to 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
