Overview: 

NEAG is seeking talented and motivated employees to join our team. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor is primarily responsible for assisting the Warehouse Managers with the day-to-day activities within the warehouse, team performance, and floor supervision. This is a working supervisor position.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •          Assist the Warehouse Managers in monitoring day-to-day activities, performance, safety, and quality.
  •          Assist with order picking, receiving, and other assignments·         Responsible for immediately reporting any personnel injuries that occur in the warehouse to the Warehouse Managers.
  •          Provides hands-on training to employees, temps, and new hires.
  • Supervise the functions and working of the warehouse workers by organizing the personnel needed for each product line.
  •          Monitor equipment usage and maintenance.
  •          Read work orders, shipping orders and/or follow verbal instructions to ensure materials or containers to be moved.
  • Responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts and supplies.
  • Maintain records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped.
  • Responsible for quality checks on product in aisles and staging lanes.
  • Responsible for cleanliness in assigned areas of the facility.
  • Perform other general warehouse support as needed. 

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

·        High School diploma, GED and/or relevant experience is required. BS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business is preferred.

·        Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a Warehouse/Distribution Center facility is required.

 

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Previous experience in warehouse management and/or distribution center including a knowledge of the safety and legal documentation processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups. (members/outside truckers/co-workers)
  • Strong administration skills and abilities with an ability to multitask.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, resolve crisis and decision making.
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate workings with internal and external workers of the company.
  • Ability to lift 10-15 pounds when necessary. May need to move/lift light articles may require bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
  • Picking and delivering of a variety of products and all the activities associated with this process. Prior work w/inbound/outbound freight.
  • Ability to operate various types of power equipment.
