Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Welders/Fitters to join our growing fabrication team. This position is ideal for candidates with previous industrial fabrication experience who take pride in producing quality work while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Successful candidates will have strong MIG welding skills, the ability to read blueprints, and experience fitting and assembling fabricated components.

Welder/Fitter
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
 Pay: $18.00–$20.00+ per hour (Based on experience)
Schedule
  • Monday – Thursday
  • 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • No scheduled Friday hours
  • Overtime opportunities are frequently available on Fridays

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Layout, fit, and assemble fabricated parts according to specifications.
  • Verify material lengths, dimensions, and hole locations prior to fabrication.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials safely.
  • Handle raw materials and fabricated components throughout production.
  • Use grinders to prepare and finish welds.
  • Operate oxy-fuel cutting torches safely and effectively.
  • Maintain quality standards while meeting production deadlines.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure production goals are met.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an industrial fabrication environment required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of basic measurements and layout.
  • Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
