Job Summary

We are seeking two dedicated and reliable individuals to join our District team. This full-time position requires individuals who are committed to providing exceptional service and support to our community. The successful candidates will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our district.

Responsibilities

  • Operate district buses in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Transport students and staff to designated locations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure safety and compliance with district standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of routes, mileage, and passenger counts.
  • Communicate effectively with school personnel, parents, and students to provide information and address any concerns.
  • Assist with loading and unloading passengers, ensuring the safety of all individuals at all times.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge related to transportation services.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve transportation processes and address any operational challenges.
  • Follow all district policies and procedures related to transportation and safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
  • Previous experience operating buses or similar vehicles preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings and late afternoons as needed.
