    2026-2027 Anticipated Opening, Title I Instructional Coach JobID: 2356 Position Type: High School TeachingDate Posted: 9/3/2026Location: Dwight Morrow High School Additional Information: Show/HideJOIN THE ENGLEWOOD PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT! 2026-2027 Anticipated Opening, Title I Instructional Coach Dwight Morrow High School / Academies @ Englewood is seeking an anticipated Title I Instructional Coach to support the implementation of the school's 20262027 Annual School Plan and schoolwide instructional priorities.The Instructional Coach will work collaboratively with teachers, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), administrators, and instructional staff to strengthen instructional practices, increase teacher capacity, analyze student achievement data, support differentiated instruction, and improve outcomes for students.The position will place particular emphasis on English Language Arts and Mathematics, with targeted support for Tier 2 and Tier 3 students, multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and other student groups identified through school achievement data. The ASP specifically identifies increasing teacher capacity, closing learning gaps, differentiation, targeted support, and engaging and meaningful learning as instructional priorities. QUALIFICATIONS:• Valid New Jersey instructional certificate• Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience• Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices and differentiated instruction• Experience analyzing student achievement and assessment data• Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and administrators• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills PREFERRED:• Experience teaching or supporting instruction at the secondary level• Experience in English Language Arts and/or Mathematics instruction• Experience with LinkIt or comparable benchmark assessment platforms• Experience facilitating PLCs, professional development, or instructional coaching• Knowledge of NJSLA and NJGPA expectations• Experience supporting multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and Tier 2/Tier 3 interventions• Knowledge of SIOP, differentiation, project-based learning, and other research-based instructional practices ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:The Instructional Coach will:• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to support implementation of the school's Annual School Plan and instructional goals.• Provide instructional coaching and professional support to ELA and Mathematics teachers, with additional schoolwide support as determined by identified student and staff needs.• Assist teachers in analyzing LinkIt benchmark, NJSLA, NJGPA, classroom, and other student performance data to identify instructional needs and determine appropriate interventions.• Facilitate data analysis sessions with PLCs and individual teachers following benchmark assessment administrations and assist teams in translating data into actionable instructional plans. The ASP specifically calls for the coach to facilitate PLC and individual teacher sessions following LinkIt assessments.• Support teachers in identifying and appropriately tiering students based on assessment and classroom data.• Assist teachers in planning and implementing differentiated instruction and targeted interventions for Tier 2 and Tier 3 students.• Provide targeted instructional support for multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and students performing below grade-level expectations. These populations are specifically identified as areas requiring attention in the school's achievement analysis.• Support teachers in developing engaging, relevant, rigorous, and meaningful learning experiences designed to increase student participation and achievement.• Promote instructional strategies including differentiation, project-based learning, SIOP strategies, formative assessment, and targeted interventions, consistent with the professional learning needs identified in the ASP.• Collaborate with teachers to review student work, assessment results, instructional plans, and other evidence of student learning.• Facilitate and support Professional Learning Communities focused on student achievement, instructional improvement, and measurable student growth.• Assist administration in planning, coordinating, and facilitating professional development opportunities aligned with identified school and teacher needs. The ASP assigns the Instructional Coach and administrative team responsibility for scheduling professional development and participating in relevant professional learning opportunities.• Support the implementation and monitoring of schoolwide instructional initiatives and provide ongoing feedback regarding progress toward ASP goals.• Collaborate with administration and instructional staff to monitor progress from beginning-of-year, middle-of-year, and end-of-year benchmark assessments and adjust instructional supports accordingly.• Support the development of instructional strategies designed to improve student engagement and attendance. The ASP identifies engaging instructional practices as an intervention connected to chronic absenteeism and notes the prior role of instructional coaching in supporting teachers in this area.• Maintain appropriate documentation of coaching activities, PLC support, professional development, data meetings, interventions, and other evidence necessary to monitor implementation of the Annual School Plan.• Perform other instructional support responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or district administration and consistent with the goals of the Title I program.
