As a FT AmeriCorps Aide for the Volunteer Services Team, you will focus on strengthening systems that support guest care. this includes learning volunteer recruitment, volunteer engagement, and project management tools such as Asana to identify efficiencies, improve communication between departments, and support the consistent distribution of resources. Working alongside staff, the aide will hep evaluate current volunteer training processes, recommend improvements, and develop resources and documentation that increase volunteer effectiveness. You will gain an understanding of City Relief''s service model and how Outreach, Volunteer Department, Guest Services, and Warehouse teams works together to meet the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. As they engage directly with guests through outreach activities, the member will help connect community members to resources and services while gaining firsthand knowledge of operational challenges and opportunities for improvement. Member Duties : As an AmeriCorps Volunteer, you will: 1. Participate in community outreach events serving individuals experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. 2. Connect community members with available resources and referrals. 3. Assist with volunteer recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and engagement. 4. Help improve volunteer training materials and onboarding processes. 5. Support the coordination of outreach events and volunteer activities. 6. Maintain accurate outreach and volunteer records using organizational software. 7. Assist with inventory, donations, and resource distribution. 8. Collaborate with staff to improve operational systems using project management tools such as Asana. 9. Develop training resources and documentation that support long-term program sustainability. 10.
