### Job Summary To establish a pool to meet staffing needs for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is for a Dual Immersion Teacher in a Transitional Kindergarten setting. As such, both the Dual Immersion and Transitional Kindergarten requirements must be met. Please see the details below.

### Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid California Multiple Subject Credential
  • Valid California BCLAD-Spanish or other bilingual authorization in Spanish
  • Bilingual and Biliterate in Spanish and English

TK Requirement:

  • At least 24 units in early childhood education or childhood development or both; OR
  • At least one year of full-time service teaching 3-4-year-old children. Service may be any combination of experience in preschool programs, Transitional Kindergarten Student Teachers, and Teacher Residents in preschool-aged classrooms or Kindergarten classrooms serving preschool-aged students with preschool-aged students enrolled. Teachers may be qualified by a combination of classroom experience as described above and Early Childhood Education Units as determined by LESD.

Note: Per California Department of Education requirements, credentialed teachers first assigned to a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classroom after July 1, 2015, must meet one of the listed TK qualification requirements by August 1, 2025. Teachers who were assigned to teach TK or a combination of Kindergarten and TK on or before July 1, 2015, are exempt from the additional TK unit requirements.
