Job Description: Middle School Math Teacher
2026-2027 School Year
The Middle School Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned
with South Carolina State Standards, the LLCS Charter, and the LEAD Curriculum Framework. This
position emphasizes Project-Based Learning (PBL), data-driven instruction, and student mastery of
mathematical concepts in a structured and engaging learning environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Instruction & Curriculum Implementation
Design and implement mathematics instruction aligned with SC State Standards and LLCS Charter
Deliver instruction using effective, research-based strategies that support diverse learners.
Integrate Project-Based Learning (PBL) to enhance student engagement and conceptual understanding.
Collaborate with instructional staff to ensure alignment of curriculum and instructional practices.
Planning & Assessment
Develop long-range instructional plans aligned with LLCS pacing guides and Grading Requirements.
Create daily lesson plans with clear objectives, pacing, and standard alignment.
Design and administer assessments to monitor student progress and mastery.
Maintain accurate and timely records of attendance, grades, and special services.
Ensure compliance with LLCS grading policies.
Learning Environment & Student Support
Maintain a structured PBL classroom environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
Actively supervise students as assigned.
Ensure student safety and proper care of classroom materials, equipment, and facilities.
Facilitate student and parent conferences/communication to support academic and behavioral growth.
Maintain consistent communication with students and families.

Qualifications
Valid MS Math South Carolina teaching certification or eligibility for certification
Bachelor’s degree required
