Job Description Summary
The Internship Ambassador supports Saint Leo University Career Services in guiding students through every stage of the internship process-from preparation to placement to on-site success-while also assisting in employer engagement and program development. Under the supervision of the Director of Career Services, the Ambassador will conduct cold calls to support, but not limited to, initiatives such as recruiting organizations for career fairs and special events; calling students to increase participation in engagement programs; and promoting internship opportunities to both students and employers. The role includes creating and executing strategies to help employers start or grow internship programs, recruiting new employer partners, and preparing students for success in their placements through resume guidance, interview preparation, and professional development coaching. The Ambassador will also gain a working understanding of internship-related laws and best practices from both the student and employer perspectives, using this knowledge-under the Director's guidance-to assist employer partners in developing or refining internship handbooks that foster meaningful, compliant, and mutually beneficial experiences.
