2026 - 2027 School Nurse

The School District of Beloit is seeking two School Nurses. This position supports the academic mission of the District by promoting student health, safety, and wellness. The role provides direct nursing care, manages health plans, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and collaborates with students, families, and staff to remove health-related barriers to learning.

What You''ll Do:

• Provide direct nursing services to students, including assessment, intervention, and follow-up care.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), Emergency Care Plans (ECPs), and Section 504 accommodations.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with district policy and medical orders.
• Respond to health emergencies and coordinate care with emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate, confidential student health records.
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, families, and community health providers.
• Ensure compliance with DPI, DHS, IDEA, Section 504, and HIPAA/FERPA requirements.
• Conduct health screenings and contribute to communicable disease prevention.
• Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives.

What You''ll Bring:

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
• Knowledge of school health laws and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a school nurse or in pediatric/community health.
• Experience working in diverse school environments.
• Familiarity with special education, chronic health conditions, and trauma-informed practices.
