2026-27 Assistant Color/Winter Guard Coach, Antioch Middle School

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of sixty college hours from an accredited college or university is required.
• A valid Missouri Teaching Certificate is preferred.
• Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and physical attributes necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate or acceptable.

REPORTS TO: Activities Director

JOB GOAL: To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and an increased level of self-esteem.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:

• Organize and hold flag/auxiliary tryouts and select flag corps members.
• Attend all band camp rehearsals and summer band camp.
• Write all flag routines and coordinate them with the band director and the half time show.
• Coordinate and attend all flag performances at home football games.
• Provide routines and performance opportunities for four basketball games.
• Attend Snake Saturday, Gladfest and homecoming parades.
• Responsible for all flag equipment and uniforms.
• Adheres to good safety practices.
• Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
• Adheres to all district rules, regulations and policies.
• Other duties as required or assigned.
