Primary Purpose: Serves as instructional teaching assistant to a regular education classroom.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution Basic art skills Knowledge of art materials and supplies
Major Responsibilities: • Assist teacher in one-to-one or small group instruction • Assist in maintenance of structured classroom routine • Perform program-related data-keeping tasks • Operate duplicating, laminating, and audio-visual equipment • Assist teacher in providing a behavior management program which emphasizes positive reinforcement • Assist with extracurricular activities and similar events • Help keep classroom orderly and attractive • Decorate bulletin boards • Other duties as assigned by the teacher, lead teacher, and/or principal

Additional Job Information: This is a pooled position. It is open year round even if no current openings exist.
