ROLE AND PURPOSE Provide instructional support services. Assist teacher in instruction preparation and management of classroom activities. Work under direct supervision of a teacher. Assigned 100 to the Title I Program.
QUALIFICATIONS Education Certification High school diploma or equivalent Valid Texas educational aide certificate must be obtained before starting the position.
Experience Some experience working with children
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Instructional Management • Provide direct instruction to students under direct supervision of a teacher • Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher • Work with individual students or small groups • Assist in classroom management • Conduct parent involvement activities • Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays • Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments • Help maintain neat and orderly classroom • Help with inventory care and maintenance of equipment • Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports
MISCELLANEOUS Performs other duties as may be assigned by the campus principal
