Position Overview:

The Biology department is seeking a candidate for the Fish room/Non-Majors Course Assistant

Responsibilities: USE BULLET

  • Perform weekly cleanings of a fish aquarium facility
  • Assist with preparation of laboratory materials for students enrolled in several non-majors courses
  • The lab assistant will help set up and break down labs as requested by individual instructors of these courses
  • The lab assistant will help organize the laboratory classroom

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to follow basic lab protocols
  • Gain an understanding of professionalism and confidence working in a fast-paced academic environment

Required Qualifications: USE BULLETS

  • Because this position involves caring for live vertebrate animals, the applicant will need to attend, or have attended, TCNJ''s animal care session, which is offered every semester.
  • Experience caring for live animals is required

Preferred Qualifications: USE BULLETS

  • Experience working with fish is preferred
