SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

180 DAYS/7 HRS PER DAY

ANTICIPATED START DATE: August 13, 2026

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with a Special Education Endorsement required.
• Self-contained special education classroom experience preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with other educators to design and implement appropriate educational programs.
• Training in specially designed instruction, data collection, and structured behavior programs, and/or willingness to learn and utilize such techniques.
• High level of effective student behavioral management skills.
• Ability to write IEPs preferred.
• Previous Special Education teaching experience or a strong desire to teach Special Education preferred.
• Experience working with children with behavior issues preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Pass a background/fingerprint clearance as required for all school district employees.
• Ability to move about the classroom and school campus and lift, move, and assist students or instructional materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to support students with physical, behavioral, or medical needs and respond quickly to student crises.

RCW 49.58.110 REQUIREMENTS

Yearly Salary Range: $60,092 - $118,375 (Depending on Experience & Education)
