Supervises campers and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being.
Provides high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants.
Plans, leads, and implements camp programs for children.
Organizes and leads various small and large group activities.
Maintains a schedule for camp participants.
Mediates any campers' disputes.
Assists in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance.
Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, including knowing the whereabouts of campers at all times.
Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be 18 years old and able to offer an array of childcare skills.
Able to communicate effectively with staff and campers (ages 6 - 12) and their parents.
Must be active and willing to participate in all recreational activities.
All counselors must provide appropriate paperwork and pass a criminal background screening.
