Winthrop Position Title 2026 Fall - Graduate Associate - Facility Operations Job Purpose
Assist with the administration, daily management, organization, and marketing/promotions for operations and programming offered through Recreational Services. Total semester compensation is $7,091 ($3591 total for hourly wages + $3500 tuition waiver).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, supervising and evaluating student staff
- Develop and conduct ongoing student staff orientations, training, and workshops to promote student development and growth
- Ability to work flexible hours which will include nights and weekends for programming and events
- Assist with safety and risk management procedures through trainings and mock drills
- Assist with documentation of inventory and maintenance of equipment and supplies
- Assist with creating promotional materials and marketing Recreational Services through social media and various promotional events
- Collaborate with Recreational Services staff members and other campus departments to create cross-campus partnerships.
- Functions as a member of the professional staff and serves as point of contact while professional is absent
- Attend Recreational Services staff meetings as assigned
- Opportunities to pick up additional hours assisting in student staff positions, paid at an hourly rate
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Prior experience working with recreational facilities preferred.
Any offer is contingent upon acceptance and enrollment in the Graduate School at Winthrop University.
